The EMCO Group has implemented a change in the management of its subsidiary EMCO Bautechnik GmbH. From 1 September 2026, Ladislao Santamaria will assume overall responsibility as Managing Director. This personnel change is part of a strategic reorganisation initiated by the EMCO Group to secure and promote business development in the construction sector.
Jörg Harbecke, who has previously played a significant role in shaping EMCO Bau, will remain a member of the management board. His future task will be the targeted further development of the market position in the regions of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This division of responsibilities aims to strengthen both operational leadership and regional market expansion.
Stephan Hettwer, CEO of the EMCO Group, commented on the new appointment. He stated that with Mr. Santamaria, a leader with extensive experience is taking over the management of EMCO Bau. His role will be to drive the strategic as well as the operational development of the company. According to Mr. Hettwer, Mr. Harbecke's comprehensive expertise in the market and customer sector will in future be primarily deployed in the DACH region.
Strategic Direction and Customer Service
The realignment is designed to ensure consistent customer orientation and strengthen EMCO Bau's market position. A further focus is on expanding international business and achieving sustainable, profitable growth. These goals are to be achieved under Mr. Santamaria's new leadership, together with the existing management team and employees, by building on existing strengths and tapping into new market potential.
Mr. Santamaria brings over 20 years of leadership experience from the building supplier and sanitary industries to his new position. His expertise also includes comprehensive competencies in international business development as well as in the strategic development of markets and organisations. For customers and partners of EMCO Bau, operational processes and known contacts will remain unchanged.
