Salima Höfliger has been appointed Managing Director at blackolive, taking on additional leadership responsibilities within the Frankfurt-based real estate consultancy. This promotion reflects her long-standing affiliation and formative role, as she was blackolive's first employee since its founding 14 years ago and has played a key role in the company's development from the outset. Her comprehensive knowledge of internal structures and processes, acquired over years in administration, forms the basis for her expanded position.
In her new role as Managing Director, Salima Höfliger will continue to lead the administrative department. Concurrently, she will expand her responsibility for the commercial management of the company. This primarily includes the overarching oversight of financial matters and the further development of blackolive from an economic and administrative perspective. The appointment also marks a milestone for blackolive, as it is the first time a woman has joined the management board. With this decision, the company is committed to continuity and experienced employees from its own ranks, while systematically developing its leadership structure.
Oliver Schön, co-founder and Managing Partner at blackolive, commented on Salima Höfliger's appointment. He emphasised that she had more than earned her new position. Schön highlighted that Höfliger has shaped blackolive for 14 years with exceptional commitment, great competence, and a profound understanding of the company. He underscored the significance of her role as the first employee, who has accompanied and helped shape blackolive's development from the very beginning, describing her assumption of responsibility in management as a logical step.
Rainer Hamacher, also co-founder and Managing Partner at blackolive, welcomed the expansion of the management board. He stated that Salima Höfliger knows blackolive to an extent few others do. Hamacher referred to her extensive know-how and detailed knowledge of the company's structures. He also stressed that she has taken on responsibility far beyond her original scope of duties over many years. The step to Managing Director, therefore, not only represents recognition of her previous achievements but is above all a consistent further development and an important step for the future direction of the company.
Salima Höfliger herself primarily views the new position as an opportunity to continue her existing responsibilities. She expressed her delight at the trust placed in her and her new role. After 14 years at blackolive, she feels connected to the company and its employees. She is aware of the additional responsibility but stated her aim is to maintain her established way of working: close to colleagues, approachable, pragmatic, and committed to blackolive. She looks forward to playing an even more intensive role in shaping the company's further development in the future.
With the appointment of Salima Höfliger as Managing Director, blackolive is specifically strengthening its management in the areas of administration, finance, and corporate governance. Her career progression from the first employee to Managing Director serves as an example of long-term development and the promotion of responsibility within its own ranks, which underscores blackolive's corporate culture.
