The MLP Group, a specialist developer, owner, and manager of commercial, industrial, and logistics parks, reports the leasing of space in MLP Business Park Berlin. An innovative food manufacturer has established itself there, leasing an area of approximately 2,900 m². This unit comprises modern production, welfare, and office space. The handover of the leased premises took place in August 2026. The transaction was concluded without the involvement of external brokers.
The new tenant integrates into the existing diversified user mix of the Business Park, which includes small and medium-sized enterprises as well as businesses from the manufacturing industry, trades, and retail. Plant-based products will be manufactured at the new site, intended for distribution in German food retail.
Location advantages and sustainability aspects
Both operational requirements and sustainability demands were decisive for the food manufacturer's decision. The modern building concept with energy-efficient construction and the professional cooperation with the MLP Group during contract negotiations were cited as crucial factors. Martin Birkert, Chief Country Officer Germany at the MLP Group, highlighted that this establishment confirms the attractiveness of the location for manufacturing companies. He also emphasised the possibility of adapting spaces to individual tenant requirements.
The MLP Business Park Berlin is located on a plot of approximately 50,000 m² in Ludwigsfelde, Brandenburg, and has a total usable area of 18,000 m², distributed across four halls. The location enables fast distribution of products, favoured by its immediate proximity to federal highway B101, the Berliner Ring (A10), and Berlin Brandenburg Airport, which is reachable within 30 minutes by car.
Energy efficiency and certification
The development of MLP Business Park Berlin focused on sustainable and energy-efficient construction standards. The park is equipped with a photovoltaic system for low-emission energy supply and offers a comprehensive number of electric vehicle charging stations for cars. The buildings have been awarded DGNB Gold certification, demonstrating adherence to high environmental standards.
