MEAG, the asset manager for the Munich Re Group and other institutional clients, has appointed Marcel Beverungen as Head of Illiquid Assets Infrastructure Equity, effective 1 September 2026. In this role, Mr Beverungen will be responsible for the expansion and strategic development of the infrastructure equity investment business area.

Mr Beverungen will report directly to MEAG's Management Board. This appointment underscores the importance the asset manager attaches to this segment, particularly in light of the consistent demand from the Munich Re Group and other institutional investors for strategic infrastructure holdings.

Expertise and Strategic Orientation

Marcel Beverungen holds a degree in Business Administration and has over 20 years of international experience. This expertise spans both investment banking and the specific field of infrastructure equity. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and Head of CVC DIF Germany in Frankfurt am Main, where he held significant responsibility.

Prior to his role at CVC DIF Germany, Mr Beverungen held leadership positions at renowned financial institutions. These include stints at Rothschild & Co, UBS, and Dresdner Kleinwort. This career progression demonstrates his comprehensive expertise and network within the global financial market, which are relevant for MEAG's strategic development.
