Michael Phelps' former villa in Paradise Valley has reappeared on the market, listed for US$6.495 million. This marks the property's first listing since the Olympic legend sold the estate. Phelps acquired the house in 2015 for US$2.5 million when he was serving as a volunteer assistant coach for the Arizona State University swimming and diving team. In 2018, he sold it for US$3.5 million to Nevada-based Allegro Ventures.
The residence was custom-built by Henry Mohrschladt in collaboration with Craig Banner of American Tradition Builders. It combines Santa Barbara-inspired architecture with materials specifically chosen for the Arizona environment. A paved pathway leads through the front garden to a circular fountain courtyard, surrounded by hedges and flowering plants.
Decorative gates open onto a patio that extends under deep overhangs and arched openings. The entrance is beneath a rounded stucco arch, where a curved timber-and-glass front door greets visitors.
