VGP, a European owner, operator and developer of logistics and light industrial properties, has secured Nagel-Group Logistics SE as another tenant for VGP Park Rostock. The company will occupy a long-term lease for an area of approximately 10,600 square metres in Hall C, which is intended for warehousing and logistics activities in the food sector. This tenancy underscores VGP Park Rostock's position as an established location for logistics service providers in northern Germany.
Achim Sinn, Regional Head North-East at Nagel-Group, commented on the decision: "The new logistics property in Rostock will expand capacities in northern Germany and create the conditions to support customers more flexibly and reliably." He also highlighted that the direct connection to the A19 motorway and the modern facilities offer optimal conditions for these objectives.
Location and Infrastructure of VGP Park
VGP Park Rostock is being developed on a plot of land measuring approximately 100,000 square metres and will comprise a total of around 50,000 square metres of lettable space for logistics, industrial and commercial uses. Its location on the outskirts of the Hanseatic city of Rostock, the economic centre of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, is strategically advantageous. The direct connection to the E55/B19 ensures efficient access to Rostock city centre and the region's main transport arteries. The immediate proximity to Rostock Port, one of Germany's most important seaports, offers additional benefits for logistics companies.
The buildings at VGP Park Rostock are constructed using a flexible, modular design and meet modern quality and sustainability standards. Hall A and Hall C have already been completed and certified according to the DGNB Gold standard, which documents their high requirements for sustainable construction. The sustainability concept also includes photovoltaic systems on the roofs and charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.
Diverse Rental Offering and Other Tenants
In addition to tailor-made rental spaces for larger companies, VGP Park Rostock also offers smaller units starting from approximately 1,000 square metres. The Nagel-Group joins a list of renowned tenants. Winkler, the wholesaler for commercial vehicle spare parts, the Institute for Medical Diagnostics (IMD), and Nordex, the manufacturer of onshore wind turbines, are already established there.
The VGP Group is a family-owned company operating throughout Europe with its headquarters in Antwerp, Belgium. It operates over 140 parks in 18 European countries and is represented at 45 locations in Germany.
