He succeeds Dr. Daniel Linzmeier, who will leave the company in September 2026 at his own request to pursue new professional challenges.
Dr. Daniel Linzmeier had been with ansa capital management since 2015, shortly after the company's founding. He played a significant role in shaping the strategic, professional, and operational development of the company. Continuity and Expertise in Leadership
Dr. Sascha Mergner has been with ansa capital management since early 2023, where he is responsible for the company's investment strategies as Head of Portfolio Management. Prior to his role at ansa, the economist, who holds a doctorate, served as Managing Director at Quoniam Asset Management. There, he was responsible for the portfolio management of all investment strategies and for a large number of institutional mandates with assets under management exceeding EUR 25 billion.
Dr. Andreas Sauer expressed his conviction regarding Dr. Mergner's appointment and emphasised that he had significantly further developed the investment processes in recent years. Dr. Mergner combines many years of capital market experience and quantitative investment expertise with entrepreneurial thinking and an understanding of institutional investors. In his new role as managing director, he will provide further impetus for ansa's strategic direction. Dr. Sascha Mergner expressed his appreciation for the trust placed in him and stated that he would now also help shape the company's development as managing director.
