n the heart of California's Paso Robles Wine Country, a 160-acre Tuscan-style vineyard estate is set to be auctioned off with no minimum bid. Villa San Juliette, once listed for $14.75 million, has been a labor of love for Emmy Award-winning producers Ken Warwick and Nigel Lythgoe, who have entertained A-list guests like Priscilla Presley and Ben Platt at the winery.
The estate's stunning vistas and 12 varietals make it an ideal destination for weddings, concerts, and other events. The property boasts two three-bedroom villas, a two-bedroom winemakers' cottage, and a tasting room, kitchen, pool, and pool house. Warwick and Lythgoe invested over $12 million to transform the estate into a luxurious retreat.
The vineyard's history dates back to 2005 when Warwick and Lythgoe purchased it for $5.2 million. They envisioned a Tuscan-style haven where they could relax and create memories with friends and family. The property has been a popular Airbnb destination, attracting visitors from around the world.
As the producers prepare to pass on the torch, they reflect on the estate's significance in their lives. "Villa San Juliette has been an incredible chapter for us," Warwick said. "But at this stage of our lives, family has become our priority." The auction will be held on May 17, with the inventory of award-winning bottled and bulk wine valued at $1.2 million included in the sale.
The estate's serene atmosphere and breathtaking views make it a world away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. Warwick and Lythgoe hope that the next owner will create their own special moments within the vineyard's walls, just as they have over the years.
