he Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock. Angela Oakley, a newcomer to the show, is struggling with her investment properties in Georgia. She owns five homes, including three listed for sale ranging from $800K to $2.9 million. However, she hasn't sold any yet, causing financial difficulties.
"I'm in debt $2 million," Angela admitted in a confessional. "I am in some deep s--t with these houses." Angela invited fellow castmate Kelli Ferrell to tour one of the properties, but the showing didn't go well. Kelli politely called the home "cute" but took issue with its low ceilings and unfinished swimming pool.
Angela works as a real estate investor and tax professional. She attended DePaul University in Chicago and began her career as a tax expert and entrepreneur before transitioning to real estate investing. Angela also hosts inspirational workshops and is involved with the Charles Oakley Foundation, which she founded with her husband to address food insecurity in urban areas.
Angela addressed rumors about her marriage to NBA legend Charles Oakley during the May 11 episode. Kelli had referenced a "secret baby" at Cynthia Bailey's Juneteenth party, prompting Angela to clarify that the rumor was false. However, Angela did admit to instances of infidelity in their eight-year marriage, which occurred around the time of Charles' 2017 arrest.
"I'm not making excuses for him, but I felt like he needed to feel validated," Angela said. "Marriage is work, and you have to both decide to fight to make it work."
