A
newly built mansion on Del Mar's Camino Del Mar has hit the market for a staggering $75 million, making it the priciest listing in the seaside resort. The oceanfront property, situated less than two miles from the Del Mar racetrack, boasts seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms across 5,690 square feet. Studio William Hefner designed the estate with superyacht-inspired elements to withstand the coastal environment.
The property's design features a seawall built in 2021 and a DaVinci roof to resist high winds. According to listing agent Rande Turner, "the goal is to spend your time using it, not maintaining it." The estate also includes an interior courtyard with a ping-pong area, pool, and private gate leading directly to the shore.
The property sits on over half an acre of land, which has remained untouched for nearly 100 years. The Vickers-Naftzger family, long-time cattle ranchers, own the property through trusts. If sold at or near its asking price, the mansion would set a record as the priciest on-market sale in Del Mar, surpassing the current titleholder, a $44.1 million sale last October.
