A
former executive at a Central Coast real estate development company has been sentenced to five years in federal prison for paying bribes to a local politician. Ryan Wright of Pismo Beach, who worked for PB Companies of San Luis Obispo, gave nearly $95,000 to a member of the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors to influence his decisions on various projects. The bribes included cash and perks such as tickets to a baseball game.
Wright pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud, while the politician who received the bribes, Adam Hill, died in 2020 without facing criminal charges.
