The off-market deal was facilitated by Patrick Walker LLP, a UK-based entity registered to the couple. This marks a significant change from their previous arrangement, as they had rented a different apartment in the same building.

    The newly purchased unit features four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a terrace with views of Lower Manhattan. It's worth noting that this is not Sheeran's first foray into Pierhouse; he previously made headlines by signing the most expensive rental contract in Brooklyn in 2023, paying $36,000 per month for another unit.

    Pierhouse has become a magnet for celebrity residents, with notable buyers including rapper Kendrick Lamar, who purchased a duplex there for $8.6 million in 2023. The complex offers luxury amenities such as two fitness centers and EV charging stations. This purchase comes amid continued strength in Brooklyn Heights' luxury market, where select condominiums are breaking through the leaderboard.

    The neighborhood's highest residential sale remains a townhouse at 8 Montague Terrace, which fetched $25 million in 2020.
