Home Sellers May Be Eligible for Class Action Settlements

CPT Group, Inc. Announces Proposed Settlements in 1925 Hooper LLC et al. v. The National Association of Realtors Lawsuit

C
PT Group, Inc. announces proposed settlements in a lawsuit alleging an anticompetitive agreement between real estate brokers and agents that led to inflated commissions for home sellers. The settlements resolve claims against Higher Tech Realty d/b/a Mark Spain Real Estate, eXp World Holdings, Inc., Weichert of North America, Inc., Atlanta Communities Real Estate Brokerage, LLC, and related entities.

To be eligible for the settlement benefits, you must have sold a home between October 31, 2019, and July 22, 2025, listed it on a multiple listing service in the US, and paid a commission to a real estate brokerage. The defendants will collectively pay $44.05 million into a settlement fund, which will be distributed to qualifying class members who submit approved claim forms.

To receive a payment, you must submit a claim form with information about your home sale and commissions paid by September 20, 2025. Claim forms are available online at www.NationwideRealEstateCommissionSettlement.com or via US mail. You can also choose to do nothing, exclude yourself from the settlement, or object to it.

The court will hold a hearing on October 28, 2025, to consider objections and determine if the settlement is fair.
