ane County Treasurer Chris Lauzen announced that 2024 real estate tax bills will be mailed to residents by May 1, with payments due in 2025. The first installment is due on June 2 and the second on September 2.
Residents can pay their taxes online at Treasurer.KaneCountyIL.gov, where e-checks are free of charge. Alternatively, they can mail a check using the provided payment coupon and envelope, or deposit it into the county's drive-up payment drop box behind Building A at the Kane County Government Center in Geneva.
Many local banks will also accept on-time payments with a payment coupon, while personal checks or money orders can be made at the Kane County Clerk's branch office in Aurora or the Treasurer's Office in Geneva during regular business hours.
