A
prime Palm Beach condominium at 2 N. Breakers Row has changed hands for $7.3 million, a significant drop from its sale price in 2021 of $10.5 million. The condo and cabana were listed last May with an asking price of $9.495 million, which included furnishings and artwork, but the price was later reduced to $8.45 million before the sale. Businessman Roger W. Webb is the new owner of the three-bedroom condo, according to property records.
The condo had been home to the late Lorraine Malasky, whose husband headed luxury homebuilder Malasky Homes. The brothers, Bruce A. and Stephen P. Malasky, acted as co-trustees for their stepmother's trust when they bought the condo and cabana in 2019. The property has 4,086 square feet of living space, including two terraces with ocean views.
Webb also owns a home on Everglades Island, where he and his wife have homesteaded their house at 608 Island Drive. The deed identifies Webb as a married man but notes that he bought the Breakers Row condo "as his sole and separate property." The sale of the condo and cabana is a reminder of the real estate market's fluctuations in recent years, with prices escalating sharply during the coronavirus-related boom.
The development at 2 N. Breakers Row has two five-story buildings facing 470 feet of private shoreline, offering residents access to resort services and amenities. The location and convenience set it apart from other condo buildings in town, accounting for its high sales prices. A recent search of the Palm Beach Board of Realtors MLS showed six condos for sale in the development, with prices starting at $7.5 million and topping out at $17.85 million.
