T
he Men Behind the Women's Real Estate Council: A Shining Example of Support
For decades, it was believed that men had no place in a women's organization. However, the Women's Council of REALTORS(R) Chicago network has proven this notion wrong with their dedicated male supporters.
As we celebrate our 85th anniversary, we acknowledge the men who have been instrumental to our success since our inception over 30 years ago. Our current finance chair, Patrick Keough, and other notable members like Ian Schlueter, Deanous Reid, John C. Kmiecik, Lutalo McGee, Matt Silver, Frank J. Williams, and Kevin Peterson, have demonstrated their commitment to our network through various roles.
These men, along with many others, have sponsored events, emceed, moderated, and participated as panelists, showcasing their dedication to empowering women in the real estate industry. Their support has been invaluable, providing opportunities for collaboration, encouragement, and financial backing.
We appreciate these men's efforts and encourage others to join them in supporting our network. In 2025, we will prioritize health and wellness initiatives, a mission close to the heart of our president-elect, Keisha Williams, who recently underwent surgery due to delayed fibroid diagnosis.
As professionals in the real estate industry, we often put our health on the backburner, but it's time for us to change this mindset. We invite you to join us in prioritizing self-care and wellness. Stay tuned to our social media pages for updates on future events and opportunities to get involved in leadership or sponsorship.
Linda Hattar is the president of the Women's Council of REALTORS(R) Chicago, with Keisha Williams serving as president-elect.
