ina Goldentayer reigns supreme in Miami's ultra-luxury real estate market, having closed deals with high-profile clients like billionaire Jeff Bezos and tennis pro Caroline Wozniacki. Her sales volume has exceeded $2 billion annually since 2021, making her the top individual agent at Douglas Elliman for three consecutive years. At the heart of her success lies a carefully crafted image on social media, where she showcases her expertise and personality to over 100,000 followers.
Goldentayer's Instagram account is a key component of her marketing strategy, featuring edited videos that highlight her listings and showcase her lifestyle. Her trademarked phrase "Step Inside With Me" invites followers to experience the luxury properties she represents. However, behind the scenes, Goldentayer has faced criticism from agents who claim she engages in aggressive tactics to secure deals.
Born in Moldova, Goldentayer emigrated to the US at age 7 and grew up in Baltimore. She attended the University of Maryland, where she studied government and politics with a minor in women's studies. After waitressing at a nightclub, she bought her first property in 2004 and eventually obtained her real estate license.
Goldentayer's career took off when she joined Carson Realty Group, which was later acquired by Elliman. She partnered with Sladja Stantic, but the two split in 2018 after 12 years together. Goldentayer then made her Instagram account public, attributing over $200 million in sales to the platform.
As a self-described perfectionist and micromanager, Goldentayer has faced criticism for allegedly avoiding deals with certain agents and aggressively pursuing buyers working with others. She has also been accused of removing listing photos and property descriptions after closing properties on the Multiple Listing Service. However, she maintains that her approach is necessary to protect her business and ranking.
Goldentayer's success has led to a lawsuit filed by Harding Realty, which alleges that Elliman cut them out of a nearly $24 million sale in Bal Harbour. The Miami Association of Realtors' residential grievance committee reviewed and dismissed the request for arbitration, but the suit is pending in court.
