Mood boost after case resolution

Real estate agents cautiously adapt to changing landscape, despite concerns over NAR settlement impact.

C
lever Real Estate's updated survey reveals a slight shift in real estate agents' attitudes towards the NAR settlement, but most still harbor concerns. Key findings include:

    * The percentage of agents opposed to the new commission process decreased from 70% in April to 64%.

    * A staggering 86% of sales professionals believe the NAR settlement will lead to increased agent attrition.

    * Only 16% of respondents feel more optimistic about their career after the settlement.

While some agents are slowly accepting the changes, many remain divided on their outlook. The majority still oppose the rule changes due to concerns over first-time buyers and industry prospects. However, a separate survey by Real Brokerage found that most agents felt prepared for the new rules, with 59% saying they were "very well prepared."

The data suggests that nearly half of agents (48%) have a pessimistic outlook on their career prospects, while only 16% feel more optimistic. A significant majority (72%) believe the NAR settlement will have a negative impact on the industry, with just 20% expecting positive changes.

Recent membership data from the National Association of Realtors shows an increase in agent membership, but this may be a response to the looming deadline for implementing the rule changes rather than a genuine shift in sentiment.
