T
he National Association of REALTORS' (NAR) MLS Technology and Emerging Issues Advisory Board met to discuss the evaluation of NAR's Clear Cooperation Policy. Comprised of MLS and broker executives, the board did not make a recommendation or take formal action. Instead, they will submit feedback received from various sources to NAR's leadership for incorporation into ongoing evaluations.
NAR will continue to assess the policy within the broader context of industry issues. The advisory board's decision reflects the need for a careful process in considering member and stakeholder feedback, as well as ongoing litigation and a Department of Justice investigation. As such, NAR must approach the evaluation with sensitivity.
