oston Children's Museum is set to welcome The Tot Café, a new venture from The Little Cocoa Bean Co., later this spring. This partnership brings together two mission-driven organizations dedicated to enriching the lives of young children and their families.
The 3,000-square-foot café will offer a vibrant space where families can enjoy healthy food options in a welcoming environment. Designed with both children and caregivers in mind, The Tot Café will provide a dynamic atmosphere that fosters connection and community.
Tracy Skelly's company, founded in 2019, is a Black- and woman-owned social enterprise focused on early childhood nutrition, education, and community engagement. The Little Cocoa Bean Co.'s ready-made baby and toddler foods are inspired by global flavors and heritage ingredients.
"We're thrilled to bring The Tot Café to Boston Children's Museum," said Tracy Skelly. "This partnership is a natural fit, as both organizations are committed to supporting families and enhancing their quality of life." In addition to serving nutritious meals, The Little Cocoa Bean Co. will offer hands-on courses teaching caregivers how to prepare meals inspired by their cultural heritage.
The Tot Café will not only serve food but also foster a sense of community, creating an inclusive space where both children and adults can feel seen and supported. Ellie Cullinan, Partner at Freudenheim Partners, said, "This is a wonderful opportunity to bring together two organizations with aligned missions."
Carole Charnow, President & CEO of Boston Children's Museum, expressed her excitement about the collaboration: "We are thrilled to welcome Tracy and her company to our Museum. This new space will provide nourishing meals and be a place where families can come together, celebrate diversity, and build a sense of community." The Tot Café is set to open later this spring, offering a warm and inviting space for families to enjoy nutritious food and learn about early childhood nutrition in a fun and inclusive environment.
