The journey to this moment was not without its challenges. Owner Yomi Verdin faced hurdles transferring social media and marketing assets, leading to a rebranding effort. However, it was an unexpected water main break in February 2025 that threw a wrench into the plans, forcing the team to adapt and find creative solutions.
Verdin credits her family, faith, and dedicated team for their unwavering support during this time. As they navigate the next few weeks, Verdin emphasizes the importance of patience and community support. "We're taking it one step at a time," she says. "Our goal is to be at our best by April."

Toucan Custard, a West Bend institution for 27 years, was sold to Andy Naumann in May 2023. Naumann's vision was to revitalize the business, creating a welcoming atmosphere with American food and exceptional custard. The property, which had been listed for sale at $375,000, underwent significant changes, including a new name – West Bend Creamery.
Naumann's decision to sell the business in January 2025 allowed Yomi Verdin to take the reins, bringing her own vision and passion to the table.
