A
luxury townhouse on Chilean Avenue in Palm Beach's Midtown neighborhood has sold for $10.4 million, marking a significant sale in the area known for its high-end properties. The four-bedroom, Mediterranean-style residence was part of a duplex and features 4,812 square feet of living space, including private pools, manageable yards, and gated driveways.
The property, located at 314 Chilean Ave., has been on and off the market since November 2023, with initial listing prices reaching $16.49 million before undergoing several price reductions. The sale closed on Valentine's Day after being under contract for about a month.
Purchased new in 2000 by Maudette Devenow and her husband Chester, the townhouse has been well-maintained over the years, boasting stone floors, deep crown moldings, and high ceilings with decorative elements. The layout includes a formal dining room, office, living room with fireplace, and kitchen with breakfast area.
The property's location near Worth Avenue and backing up to Pan's Garden, a park-like botanical preserve, made it an attractive choice for the Devenows, who were not beach people but wanted to be close to the upscale shopping district. The townhouse was sold by Maudette Devenow's estate after her passing in July 2023.
The buyer, Justin T. Daniels of Jupiter, is a real estate investor and principal at Daniels Holdings, a family-run company that buys, sells, and leases residential and commercial properties.
