uxury property sales in Miami-Dade County remained strong last week, with buyers signing 17 contracts for homes and condos priced at $4 million or more. The total asking dollar volume for these properties was a significant $201.7 million.
Leading the Eklund-Gomes report was Rosie O'Donnell's former Star Island estate, which entered into contract after being listed for $48 million. This waterfront mansion, built in 1923, boasts eight bedrooms and spans over 11,000 square feet.
The most expensive condo to find a buyer last week was a 3,497-square-foot unit at Continuum South Beach, priced at $13.7 million. In total, the nine single-family homes that entered into contract had an average asking price of $14.7 million and spent around 109 days on the market.
The luxury inventory in Miami-Dade County has been declining on a weekly basis, but last week's decline was only one listing. The previous week saw buyers sign contracts for 25 properties, with a combined asking price of $274.8 million.
