Sarah Paulson offloads luxury mobile home after significant price cut

American Horror Story" actress overhauls Paradise Cove Mobile Home Park home after 2021 purchase.

n a Malibu mobile home park where A-listers once reigned, Sarah Paulson has finally parted ways with her lavish trailer for $1.45 million. The sale marks the end of an era for the actress, who had been trying to offload the property since listing it for $2 million in May 2024.

Located in Paradise Cove Mobile Home Park, a seafront community that's undergone gentrification since the early 2000s, Paulson's double-wide domicile was once a prized possession. The actress purchased the trailer in March 2021 for $860,000 and embarked on an extensive renovation project with designer Nickey Kehoe. The result was featured in Architectural Digest in 2023.

Paulson's decision to buy the property was inspired by her dog's love for the beach. "I brought my dog to a friend's house nearby, and I took him for a walk on the beach," she recalled. "He'd never been so happy." The trailer park's charm had won over Paulson, but it ultimately proved too pricey.

The listing described the trailer as a "jewel box" with transom windows that flood the white-washed kitchen with natural light. Sea foam and emerald green-veined marble countertops are the standout feature of the space. The lofted area provides extra sleeping space, while the backyard offers a secluded oasis within the park.

Paulson's trailer is by no means the most expensive residence in Paradise Cove Mobile Home Park. Currently, six homes are on sale, all priced above $1.2 million, with one two-bedroom trailer listed for just under $5 million. The community's popularity among wealthy surfers and deep-pocketed buyers has driven up prices, making it a cross-coastal twin to Montauk Shores on Long Island.
