oan Robins, widow of late developer Jerry Robins, has sold their Miami Beach waterfront mansion on Star Island for $38.7 million to a Delaware entity tied to a land trust. The eight-bedroom, eight-bathroom estate at 33 Star Island Drive was built in 1937 and spans nearly 11,000 square feet on a 1.4-acre lot. Jerry Robins passed away in October 2022, leaving behind his children, including Miami Design District developer Craig Robins, who are embroiled in probate litigation over their father's estate.
Stacy Robins, another of Jerry's children, is also suing Joan and her siblings, Craig, Scott, and Gina, in Miami-Dade County Circuit Court. The Star Island home had been in the Robins family for decades, joining a prestigious list of owners that includes Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Stuart Miller, Anthony Hsieh, and Leonard Hochstein. Recent high-profile sales on the island include Alex Rodriguez's sale to Ken Griffin, who has spent nearly $150 million accumulating properties there.
