ooking for a home in 2025? Two real estate experts recommend considering six cities in Florida and Georgia that offer great value for the price. Pompano Beach is one of these cities, according to Julio Ybanez, a Southeast Florida-based agent. Homes in Pompano Beach are less expensive than those in neighboring affluent areas like Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton. The city is undergoing transformation with new beachfront condominiums and developments in the downtown and historic districts.
Yoann Dorat, a real estate advisor with Sotheby's International Realty, agrees that many areas within Pompano Beach offer good value, particularly in less-developed neighborhoods where prices are lower. "Prices have risen, but opportunities lie in emerging neighborhoods still going through redevelopment," Dorat said. "Buying early can lead to appreciation as the area upgrades."
North Atlanta and Sandy Springs proper are also top areas to watch, with rising average sales prices and numbers above the national average. While luxury homes are available, there are affordable options for single-family homes, condos, or townhouses. As of January 2, 2025, there were 144 active listings on Zillow priced at $300,000 or less.
For those who can't afford Miami, Homestead is a more affordable option in Miami-Dade County, according to Dorat. "Prices are significantly lower than Miami proper, and new construction projects keep prices reasonable."
