Vibrant NYC Condo Returns to Market with $2M Price Reduction

Even a kaleidoscope can have its flaws.

A
pryl Miller's vibrant Upper East Side apartment, a kaleidoscope of color and creativity, is back on the market with a markdown. The 4,076-square-foot condo at 188 E. 76th St., spanning the entire 29th floor of the Siena tower, was first listed last year for $8.75 million before undergoing a recent $2 million price reduction to $6.75 million.

Miller, an artist and poet, purchased the apartment in 1998 with her former husband and later took full ownership in 2002. Over the years, she transformed the space into a "very special home" for her daughters, filling every room with saturated tones and custom finishes, from Jackson Pollock-style paint-splattered floors to vibrant tile work.

The result is an art installation that has been featured in numerous design publications, including "Amazing Interiors," "Teen Cribs," and "Open House New York." However, with her daughters now adults, Miller says the apartment is "too big" and she's ready to move on. The five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom residence includes a private elevator landing, oversize windows, and panoramic views from Central Park to the East River.

The primary bedroom suite features two walk-in closets, a raised sitting area, and a hand-tiled bath with skyline views. One of the additional bedrooms was once used as a stage for in-home concerts and is now an artist's studio. The apartment also boasts a 28-foot living room, a cerulean eat-in kitchen, and a library/media room.

Listing agents Eileen Foy and Ana Ozashvili of Compass are marketing the property, which occupies a rare full-floor layout in the Siena condominium. While the furnishings and art are not included in the sale, they are available for purchase separately. Miller says she's made her peace with the apartment being sold and is even willing to see it gutted.
