ice President JD Vance's former family home in Alexandria, Virginia has sold just four days after listing for $1.69 million. The 100-year-old farmhouse in the vibrant Del Ray neighborhood was purchased by Vance in early 2023 before he became President Trump's running mate.
The dark blue home features five bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and one partial bathroom across its 5,750 square feet. Despite its age, it boasts modern upgrades and a fresh design, including hardwood floors, a wood-burning fireplace, and built-ins on the open-concept first floor. The second floor houses four bedrooms, including a king-size master suite and a space-themed child's bedroom.
The backyard features a hardscaped area with an accessory dwelling unit (ADU), which includes a kitchenette, a wood-burning fireplace, and a full bathroom. This addition adds value to the property.
During their short stay in Del Ray, Vance's family kept to themselves due to increasingly tight security around the residence and an adjoining park. The park recently reopened to the public after being closed for the family's security concerns. The Vances have since moved to the vice president's official residence at One Observatory Circle, a Queen Anne-style home built in 1893 on the grounds of the US Naval Observatory.
