ICHITA, Kan. - J.P. Weigand & Sons, a prominent Wichita real estate company, is selling its residential division to Berkshire Hathaway. This move will enable Weigand to concentrate on commercial and auction services while allowing its residential agents to grow with Berkshire Hathaway's support. Founded in 1902, Weigand & Sons has made this decision after careful consideration.

"We're refocusing our efforts on the commercial market," said Kevin Dreiling, Weigand president. "This change will allow us to better serve our employees and associates." As part of the transition, Weigand's residential operations will be integrated into Berkshire Hathaway, while its commercial division will continue to operate independently.
