s the real estate landscape continues to evolve, Windermere Real Estate is bucking the trend by reaffirming its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Amidst a national shift away from DEI programs, Windermere's President OB Jacobi emphasized the importance of supporting and advancing these efforts within their company, industry, and communities.

To drive this mission forward, Brooks Glenn has been appointed as Director of Inclusion and Community Engagement. A seasoned real estate broker and community advocate, Glenn brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served as VP of Western Washington Realtist and worked with organizations like the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance of Seattle and the Black Home Initiative.

Glenn's three-pronged approach will focus on overseeing Windermere's overall DEI goals, supporting individual offices in their strategies and programs, and advocating for industry-wide change. "We recognize the historical role that real estate professionals have played in perpetuating harm and systemic inequalities," Glenn said. "The work is far from over, but we're committed to becoming a driving force for positive change."

Windermere's commitment to DEI is rooted in its four pillars: community, homeownership, leadership, and culture. The company believes that building an inclusive culture is essential for inspiring people to stay and thrive.

In related news, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate (BHGRE) has promoted Chris Nichols to Senior Vice President of franchise sales. With over a decade of experience in the industry, Nichols will lead the charge in expanding the brand into new markets while helping existing affiliates grow. His forward-thinking approach is expected to drive sustainable growth for the company.

"I'm excited to take on this new challenge and continue to develop our sales team's talent," Nichols said. "I'm grateful for Ginger Wilcox's trust in me to lead BHGRE franchise sales efforts."
