Woman Sentenced to Prison for Real Estate Forgery, Repeat Offender

Rural woman faces additional prison time for exploiting elderly neighbor through forged real estate documents.

A
Scottsbluff woman who was granted parole earlier this year after exploiting an elderly neighbor is facing additional prison time. Londa Neal, 49, was arrested just weeks after her release on new charges of forgery and abuse of a vulnerable adult.

Neal had previously forged a quit-claim deed to sell a home without the owner's consent in 2021. After being paroled, she allegedly showed the same forged document to a buyer from Alabama. Last week, Neal pleaded no contest to two counts: Abuse of a Vulnerable Adult and Attempted Theft by Taking.

In exchange for her plea, one charge was dropped. Neal could face up to three years in prison on each count when she returns to court for sentencing on September 12th.
