The NUMA Group, a provider of digital hospitality concepts, has completed the acquisition of Lisbon Serviced Apartments (LSA). LSA is considered an established player in the Portuguese accommodation sector. This transaction, implemented in cooperation with CoRe Capital as a joint venture, is part of NUMA's expansion strategy to consolidate a European hospitality platform.

The acquisition includes 19 properties in Lisbon, strategically located in the districts of Chiado, Príncipe Real, Alfama, and on Avenida da Liberdade. LSA, founded in 2009 by Luís Milagres e Sousa, has built a portfolio over the past 15 years that is known for its quality and guest experience. This acquisition strengthens NUMA's position in one of Southern Europe's most relevant urban hospitality markets.

Strategic Importance and Market Consolidation

Portugal is considered by NUMA to be a strategically important market, exhibiting consistently high demand for professionally managed accommodation in urban centres. The expansion into Lisbon is therefore a building block of the overarching European growth strategy, which relies on a combination of strategic acquisitions, institutional cooperations, and organic growth. Furthermore, the transaction reflects a broader consolidation trend in the European market for urban accommodation services. Independent providers are increasingly integrating into technology-based platforms to optimise sales reach, operational efficiency, and the value development of properties.

Christian Gaiser, CEO and co-founder of the NUMA Group, stated that the goal from the outset was to establish a leading digital hospitality platform in Europe and to collaborate with outstanding companies in the continent's strongest urban markets. He emphasised that LSA had built an excellent reputation, and the intention is to build upon this foundation. Luís Milagres e Sousa, founder of LSA, explained that his vision when founding the company was to create accommodations that reflected the character, quality, and hospitality of Lisbon. He expressed his delight at collaborating with NUMA and CoRe Capital to shape the next chapter of the company.

Integration and Future Development

As part of the agreement, NUMA will assume operational responsibility for sales and revenue strategy. The LSA portfolio will be progressively integrated into NUMA's proprietary technology infrastructure. This integration process includes digital service options for guests, the implementation of optimised revenue management, and the adaptation of operational systems. These measures aim to increase operational efficiency while preserving the specific character and quality standards of LSA. Pedro Araújo e Sá, Senior Partner at CoRe Capital, referred to the ongoing attractive long-term investment opportunities offered by technology-enabled hospitality concepts. He highlighted NUMA's ability to successfully combine technology, operational excellence, and a disciplined growth strategy.

NUMA's continued expansion into key European markets will continue to include strategic acquisitions as an integral part of its long-term growth strategy.
