The private island of Argyronisos, located in the Northern Aegean, is available on the market for the first time in several decades. This transaction is being handled by the Private Office of Engel & Völkers. Georg Petras, CEO of Engel & Völkers Greece, describes Argyronisos as one of the most exceptional private properties currently offered on the European coast. The island combines exclusivity with sustainable infrastructure and offers direct access to the sailing areas of the Sporades.

Argyronisos is situated in the Gulf of Pteleos off the north coast of Euboea. With a total area of approximately 24 hectares and a built-up area of about 940 square metres, it is one of Greece's larger, fully developed private islands. The estate comprises eleven intact buildings, including a main house, a two-storey villa, several traditional stone houses, a caretaker's house, and the historic Greek Orthodox chapel of St. Anargiri. The architecture integrates seamlessly into the Mediterranean landscape of olive groves, cypress trees, and natural coves. For decades, the island served as a private retreat, an organic olive farm, and an exclusive sanctuary.

Georg Petras emphasises that the value of Argyronisos lies in six decades of meticulous care, complete self-sufficiency, and absolute privacy, rather than excessive construction. The island is equipped with an autonomous energy supply through a solar system and a generator and has been managed according to sustainable principles for many years. An organic olive grove characterises the landscape. A deep-water jetty for yachts, a helicopter landing pad, and several private bathing coves complement the property's amenities.

The island's accessibility is ensured by various means of transport. From Athens International Airport, Argyronisos can be reached by private helicopter in about 50 minutes. Flying time from neighbouring islands with helicopter connections is shorter. Alternatively, travel by private boat transfer from Athens takes approximately two and a half hours. The island's location also offers direct access to the sailing areas of the Northern Aegean and the Sporades islands such as Skiathos, Skopelos, and Alonnisos.

The acquisition of a private island in Greece, particularly one of this magnitude and with this combination of historical substance, existing infrastructure, sustainable management, and exclusive location, represents a rare opportunity, according to Georg Petras. Such properties seldom come onto the international market. Ownership also generates a lasting legacy. The property is offered at a price upon application.
