Sales have begun for a large-scale new-build project in the Krefeld district of Uerdingen. WILMA Wohnen Rheinland Projekte GmbH is planning and implementing a mixed residential district on Mauritzstraße, which is intended to meet current requirements for energy efficiency, comfort and quality of life. The project, operating under the name MAX + MAURITZ, focuses on future-oriented living, combined with the Efficiency House 40 standard (EH 40).

At the start of sales, 15 terraced houses are being offered, arranged in blocks of three and four. Each house is equipped with an air-source heat pump, which ensures an efficient and resource-saving heat supply. This equipment is supplemented by photovoltaic systems, which generate a large proportion of the energy demand in a CO2-neutral way. These features are intended not only to enable residents to lead a sustainable lifestyle but also to ensure permanently low energy costs. All houses also feature a garden with a terrace, as well as garages, carports, or parking spaces.

District Design and Infrastructure

A total of 124 detached and terraced houses are planned across the entire site, to be built in 13 construction phases. In addition, four multi-family homes will be constructed, intended for sale to an investor. The new development incorporates generous public green spaces along Charlottering. To enhance living comfort and reduce noise emissions, these green spaces are complemented by a noise barrier and a green sound-absorbing wall in the northern area. Another large green space is located in the centre of the district. The area will be criss-crossed by footpaths and cycle paths, as well as traffic-calmed residential streets.

Sustainability and Funding Opportunities

Jochen Siemes, Regio-Manager and authorised signatory at WILMA, stated that the project offers an adequate response to the increasing demand for energy-efficient and future-proof owner-occupied homes. He emphasised that the EH 40 standard, in conjunction with renewable energies, makes the offer particularly attractive, especially as funding opportunities for financing could be considered.

  • Total number of residential units: 124 detached and terraced houses, plus 4 multi-family homes
  • Energy efficiency standard: Efficiency House 40 (EH 40)
  • House features: Air-source heat pumps and photovoltaic systems
  • Location: Mauritzstraße, Krefeld-Uerdingen
