Savills Investment Management (Savills IM), an internationally active real estate investment manager, has announced the appointment of Alex Griffiths as Global Head of Client Capital. In this new role, Ms Griffiths will be responsible for the company's global capital raising and investor relations activities. Her duties will also include developing the client capital strategy and fostering growth in key international markets. This strategic personnel decision underscores Savills IM's commitment to deepening client relationships and continuously expanding its service portfolio.
Ms Griffiths joins Savills IM from AEW Europe, where she previously served as Managing Director and Head of Investor Relations. During her nearly 13 years at AEW Europe, she was significantly responsible for capital raising, client relationship management, project management, investor services, and marketing and communications. Under her leadership during this period, capital commitments exceeding EUR 30 billion were successfully secured for various investment vehicles, including funds, individual mandates, co-investments, and joint ventures.
Strategic Focus and Market Insight
Savills IM currently manages assets of approximately EUR 25.5 billion, spread across debt and equity strategies in the UK, Europe, and the APAC region. The company employs over 330 staff across 15 locations and invests in residential and commercial real estate sectors through discretionary funds, joint ventures, and individual mandates. The recent appointment of Shu (Shusaku) Watanabe as Head of Japan in the APAC region illustrates the strategic expansion of the company's presence.
Alex Griffiths commented that she is taking up her new position during a phase of expansion and growth for Savills IM.
