Scoop N Scootery, an ice cream delivery franchise, will open its first New York establishment at Acram Group's 162 Bleecker Street in Manhattan's Greenwich Village in September. The ice cream company signed a 15-year lease for a 1,325-square-foot ground-floor retail space. This information comes from the landlord's broker, Lee & Associates NYC.

The asking rent for the space was $175 per square foot. Mark Kapnick and Jordan Cohen of Lee & Associates represented the landlord, while Lucas Kooyman of Alvarez & Marsal Property Solutions represented the tenant. Kooyman did not immediately respond to an inquiry from Commercial Observer.

Mark Kapnick stated in a comment that New York City represents a milestone for any growing retail brand, and there is no better place for a debut than Bleecker Street. He explained that Scoop N Scootery was looking for a location that would immediately establish its presence in one of the country's most renowned retail corridors. Bleecker Street met all criteria with its exceptional footfall, an outstanding mix of food and beverage establishments, and very little available space.

Scoop N Scootery was founded over 10 years ago by Austin Crittenden and Sean Sally, starting with an ice cream truck. After 18 months of operating from a food truck – and delivering ice cream by scooter – Crittenden and Sally opened their first brick-and-mortar store in Arlington, Virginia. The franchise now has locations in Massachusetts, Florida, Texas, New Jersey, and North Carolina.

162 Bleecker Street is an eleven-storey commercial building located between Sullivan Street and Thompson Street. It is currently unclear whether Scoop N Scootery will replace the current retail tenant, Li-Lac Chocolates, at this new location.
