The Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks (BImA) has commissioned STRABAG Property and Facility Services (STRABAG PFS) to provide technical facility management services for several federal properties in Berlin. This new contract includes the management of seven offices of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) and the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM) in the capital.

The total area to be managed spans over 60,000 square metres. Among the properties is the building on Stresemannstraße, completed in 2011, which is used by the BMUV. STRABAG PFS will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and sustainable operation of the building systems installed there. This includes comprehensive fault management, ensured by a 24/7 on-call service.

Expanding expertise in the public sector

With this mandate, STRABAG PFS solidifies its position as a strategic partner to the public sector. The company has been managing various federal ministries on behalf of BImA for many years. This ensures smooth building operations while meeting high requirements for security, availability, and efficiency for security-relevant federal properties.

STRABAG PFS currently manages a total of six federal ministries. The service provider's expertise in critical infrastructure benefits the clients. By implementing preventive measures to secure central operational processes, STRABAG PFS significantly contributes to ensuring the functionality and resilience of these properties. The company thus demonstrates its ability to meet the complex demands of technical building management for sensitive federal properties.
