Tishman Speyer, an internationally active developer, owner and operator of high-quality real estate, has received pre-certifications from the Good Mobility Council for two Berlin office projects along the Spree. The LXK Campus in Berlin-Friedrichshain was awarded the highest distinction, “Pre-Certified Good Mobility in Platinum”. The Elements project in Michaelkirchstraße in Berlin-Mitte received the “Pre-Certified Good Mobility in Gold” level.
Both developments are located in close proximity to each other, directly on the Spree, and underscore Tishman Speyer's strategic objective to establish a contemporary mobility experience as an integral part of future-proof project development. Optimal mobility infrastructure is considered a crucial factor in the competition for qualified professionals, which can provide employers with a locational advantage. Through these certifications, Tishman Speyer is laying the groundwork for urban-compatible mobility that takes into account various modes of transport and aims to ensure high user satisfaction.
LXK Campus: Setting new standards in bicycle parking
The LXK Campus, located near Berlin Ostbahnhof, achieved the Platinum level of certification with 92 per cent. A key aspect of the concept is the relocation of bicycle parking for both office building sections to the ground floor. These areas are barrier-free accessible from the street and feature natural light. This means that areas previously used for retail are now repurposed for high-quality bicycle infrastructure. Additionally, showers, changing rooms, repair stations, and e-bike charging facilities are planned. This prepares the LXK Campus for the demands of Berlin's mobility transition.
The Elements office building in Berlin-Mitte was awarded Gold for its concept. It is characterised by a barrier-free public passage that creates a new connection to the riverside promenade along the Spree, opening up previously inaccessible areas for pedestrians. Bicycle parking in the basement is accessible via multiple routes including a heated ramp and a lift. High-quality 'end-of-trip facilities', e-bike charging stations, and repair stations are intended to offer users appropriate comfort.

Dr. Ingo Kucz, Managing Director of the Good Mobility Council, emphasised in his remarks that these certifications demonstrate a shift in the business case for real estate development. He highlighted that both projects are not only part of Berlin's mobility transition but also set new standards for the strategic integration of mobility into project development.
