Townscape has received the building permit for its current project at Prinzessinnenstraße 29 in Berlin-Kreuzberg. A building with 114 serviced apartments is planned for construction on the approximately 1,099 m² plot. This offering will be supplemented by commercial and co-working spaces on the ground floor, which will encompass a gross floor area of around 3,706 m². The numa group SE was secured as a tenant for the accommodation units prior to construction. Construction has already commenced, and the project is scheduled for completion in July 2027.

The development in Berlin-Kreuzberg responds to the demands for urban, flexible forms of stay and work. The project pursues a contemporary serviced apartment concept that combines accommodation use with complementary commercial and co-working offerings. Nilgün Dusny, project manager at Townscape, emphasised that obtaining a building permit is an important milestone in the current climate. This creates the basis for the project's realisation. She highlighted the renewed collaboration with numa as a significant success.

The project location in the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district is in the immediate vicinity of the Moritzplatz underground station. This location has developed into a creative hub in Berlin in recent years. The area is characterised by cultural and social institutions, such as Aufbau Haus and Prinzessinnengärten, as well as numerous gastronomic offerings and workplaces. The neighbourhood also features Betahaus, a well-known co-working location for Berlin's creative industry.

Marius Oesterschlink, General Manager Northern Germany for numa group SE, described Kreuzberg as one of Berlin's most vibrant districts, which provides the environment for numa. The 114 units directly on Moritzplatz will expand their presence in a district that combines urban life, culture, and flexible working. He expressed confidence regarding the renewed collaboration with Townscape as a development partner.

  • Location: Prinzessinnenstraße 29, Berlin-Kreuzberg
  • Plot size: Approx. 1,099 m²
  • Units: 114 Serviced Apartments

The location's connectivity is favourable for both public transport and private vehicles. The Moritzplatz and Kottbusser Tor underground stations are within walking distance. Prinzenstraße and Oranienstraße provide good access for car traffic. Nine bicycle parking spaces and two barrier-free parking spaces are planned. Additionally, the location is distinguished by its proximity to recreational areas such as the Landwehrkanal and the Engelsbecken.
