Cologne-based project developer Aconlog has announced the full occupancy of its latest development in Viersen-Mackenstein. This was achieved with the signing of a long-term lease agreement for the second and final available unit. The contracting party is WISAG Logistics Solutions Nord-West GmbH & Co. KG, a provider of contract and intralogistics services and a subsidiary of WISAG Industrie Service Holding AG.
With this agreement, the logistics new build, totalling 17,720 m², will be fully occupied upon its completion in early July 2026. A lease agreement was already concluded with Sunday Natural, a supplier of food supplements, in April 2026. The letting to WISAG occurred off-market, based on Aconlog's existing network. The parties had previously collaborated on a project in Krefeld in 2023.
Strategic Use and Sustainability Features
WISAG will utilise the leased unit from August 2026, comprising approximately 9,150 m² of warehouse space and approximately 230 m² of office/social space, along with 21 car parking spaces. This location will serve as another contract logistics site for retail products and will employ around 30 staff. The planned services include goods receiving with 20 to 30 lorries daily on weekdays, order picking, storage, dispatch, returns processing, as well as light production and value-added services.
Oliver Blüher, Managing Director of Aconlog Projektentwicklung GmbH, expressed his pleasure regarding WISAG's renewed decision for Aconlog and emphasised the strengthening of the partnership through the direct letting in Viersen. Michael Lederer, Managing Director of WISAG Logistics Solutions Nord-West GmbH & Co. KG, highlighted the ideal size of the property and the possibility to store lithium-ion batteries at a strategically important location for the company. He also mentioned its proximity to other WISAG sites in Schwalmtal and Mönchengladbach, as well as to the Port of Rotterdam.
The multi-tenant property was realised on an approximately 30,600 m² brownfield site at Industriering 21–23. A heat pump system and a photovoltaic system with an output of 1,400 kVA ensure fossil-free operation. The property is equipped with electric charging stations for cars and bicycles. Aconlog is aiming for DGNB Gold certification for this project.
