Aedifica has expanded its German healthcare real estate portfolio with the acquisition of a care campus in Lörrach. The acquisition amounts to EUR 20 million. This investment strengthens Aedifica's presence in the German market and marks the company's second transaction in Germany this year.
The Lörrach location, situated in the border region with Switzerland, enables geographical diversification of Aedifica's German portfolio. Furthermore, the property contributes to spreading risk across different asset types. The campus is already operational and was acquired at an attractive yield.
Operator and Portfolio Integration
The operation of the Lörrach care campus will be managed by the Argentum Group in the future. Argentum is a private German care provider with expertise in high-quality senior care. The cooperation between Aedifica and the Argentum Group is well-established; seven of the 22 facilities currently operated by Argentum are already owned by Aedifica and are leased long-term to the operator.
Following the acquisition of the Argentum Group by the new shareholder Lafayette Mittelstand Capital in October 2025, the company will continue to act as an important partner for real estate investors in the healthcare sector. The current transaction in Lörrach increases Aedifica's total investment volume in the German market this year to EUR 42 million.
