Apleona, a Neu-Isenburg-based company and market leader in integrated facility management in Europe, has acquired a majority stake in Sygna Holdings Limited. Sygna is a company specialising in the commissioning and technical project management of data centres and critical infrastructure, headquartered in Canary Wharf, London. The parties signed an agreement regarding this strategic partnership.
Sygna’s management team will retain its significant stake and continue to lead the company’s operations. Sygna provides services for complex building solutions, including data centres, office buildings, substations, gigafactories, and pharmaceutical laboratories. The company employs 90 qualified technicians and specialists whose expertise covers the entire project lifecycle. This includes the conceptual phase, through to the actual commissioning, and the assessment of building and plant systems after their establishment and use.
Expansion of Service Portfolio and Market Scope
Sygna acts as an independent partner for customer-side commissioning (CxA) for blue-chip clients, including hyperscalers, in the rapidly growing segment of data centres and colocation facilities. Additionally, Sygna provides contractor-side commissioning services (CxM, CxC) for general contractors, as well as technical project management for clients in the energy and critical infrastructure sectors. The company, originally based in the UK, has developed into one of the key players in the commissioning sector in Europe and operates in several countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and Denmark.
Dr. Jochen Keysberg, CEO of Apleona, commented on the partnership. He emphasised that Sygna expands Apleona’s service portfolio with an attractive technical service that bridges the interface between technical installation and facility management. Through Sygna’s technical expertise, Apleona will be able to strengthen its facility management business in the data centre market. In turn, Sygna will benefit from access to Apleona’s European platform and international client base, which should support its further international expansion.
