Aroundtown has signed a lease agreement with Leonardo Hotels for the Badischer Hof in Baden-Baden. This agreement secures the operation of the extensively revitalised establishment for a period of 20 years and establishes a sustainable outlook for this central hotel location. The Badischer Hof is a distinctive hotel building in Baden-Baden with a long history and has been developed by Aroundtown into a modern hotel that combines its traditional character with contemporary comfort.
Since its reopening in early July 2026, the property has been operated by Leonardo Hotels and integrated into the Leonardo Limited Edition collection. This collection is characterised by selected hotels with individual character, historical heritage, and high standards of design and hospitality.
As part of the revitalisation, all public areas of the building were completely redesigned, while the historic substance and architectural identity were preserved. The impressive staircase hall with its characteristic wooden columns serves as the heart, connecting the historic areas of the house with the newly created lounge zones. Stylish spaces such as a bar and a cigar lounge have been created; furthermore, a teatime offering will be available in the staircase hall in the future. These areas are accessible to both hotel guests and external visitors. The restaurant “La Fontaine” welcomes guests in bright rooms with views of the Three-Shell Fountain or on a sun terrace, offering an atmosphere inspired by the style of French bistros.
The rooms and suites feature a modern, tranquil, and contemporary design. Other defining elements of the historic building, such as the spa area, were consciously integrated into the new overall concept. The hotel now boasts a modernised wellness area with indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, treatment rooms, and well-maintained outdoor facilities. A new fitness area with modern training equipment complements the offering, and an in-house underground car park provides parking facilities.
The Badischer Hof is the first hotel property from Aroundtown's German portfolio whose operation Leonardo Hotels will take over. This collaboration builds on the already successful partnership between the two companies in the United Kingdom.
