This classification marks a significant improvement compared to the original certification, which achieved a "Good" rating. The property in question is fully let to Verwaltungs-Berufsgenossenschaft VBG, which acts as a major provider of statutory accident insurance in Germany.
In the course of the recertification process, the property underwent a comprehensive analysis, which allowed the data basis to be expanded in various areas. Key factors contributing to the improvement achieved include the optimisation of building management systems, the expansion of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and the installation of additional bicycle parking spaces for tenants. Furthermore, extensive measures to ensure accessibility were implemented.
Sound data collection as a basis
In addition to the infrastructural adjustments, a detailed inventory of the existing LED lighting, including light intensity measurements, was carried out to demonstrate conformity with the requirements of the applicable workplace regulations. Another focus was on a detailed review of energy and water consumption. For this purpose, the main water meter was equipped with the Smartvatten digital water management system. A site-specific risk analysis completed the data collection.
This improved data basis provides a sound foundation for efficiently managing building operations in the long term and for deriving further measures.
