Arrow Real Estate Advisors, a New York-based real estate advisory firm, has appointed Jeff Weinberg as Managing Director. This personnel announcement was first reported by Commercial Observer and marks a significant strengthening of the firm's team of capital markets experts.
Weinberg joins from Meridian Capital Group, a company he co-founded in 1991 and where he served as Executive Vice President. His expertise there focused on debt placement for multifamily and office properties. The appointment underscores Arrow Real Estate Advisors' endeavour to further expand its market position by attracting experienced industry leaders.
Weinberg's Extensive Experience and New Role
Morris Betesh, founder of Arrow Real Estate Advisors, commented positively on the new appointment. He highlighted that Jeff Weinberg has built an exceptional career in the commercial real estate industry and possesses unparalleled knowledge and extensive relationships within the sector. Betesh emphasised that Weinberg's experience, judgement, and entrepreneurial approach would perfectly suit Arrow's platform and culture.
Weinberg's move is not an isolated case in the context of Meridian Capital Group. Morris Betesh himself was previously Senior Managing Director at Meridian Capital Group before leaving the company with twelve team members to establish his own capital markets advisory firm. Weinberg told Commercial Observer that he primarily joined Arrow Real Estate due to his close relationship with Betesh, with whom he had worked for several years at Meridian Capital Group. He considered this step a fitting addition for this stage of his life and career.
Outlook and Previous Achievements
Jeff Weinberg was one of the original founding partners of Meridian Capital Group. During his thirty-year tenure, his expertise ranged from cultivating client and lender relationships to facilitating commercial property transactions across various developments and strategic partnerships. He estimates that he has completed transactions worth over $1 billion in his career. Weinberg was also attracted by Arrow Real Estate's sustained growth and expansion since the company's inception in October 2024. He knew that Morris Betesh has a very capable team of professionals who understand the market very well, and saw this as a good opportunity for his next career step.
Arrow Real Estate Advisors achieved an origination volume of $8 billion last year, underscoring the company's dynamism and potential. The addition of such an experienced industry veteran as Jeff Weinberg is expected to provide further impetus for the company's growth and strategic development.
