Zukunftspark+ in Tulln has appointed Christian Wagner as its new Managing Director, effective 1 August 2026. Mr Wagner will lead the strategic direction and operational affairs of the established site. The decision by Zukunftspark GmbH underlines the focus on continuity and the further development of the area by entrusting an experienced leader with comprehensive real estate expertise.
Zukunftspark+ is an exemplary case of the successful revitalisation of a formerly derelict industrial area. On the approximately 4.5-hectare site of the former Goldmann printing plant, located at Königstetter Straße 128–134, a modern commercial site was created after a long period of vacancy. This offers versatile office and storage spaces that can be individually divided and used. The concept combines modern, air-conditioned offices with flexible hall areas, designed for industry, trade, commerce, and logistics, including high-bay warehouses.
Sustainable site development and infrastructure
The development of Zukunftspark+ is a model for sustainable land use, as an existing industrial area was revitalised instead of sealing new ground. This redevelopment led to the creation of approximately 230 new jobs. In 2023, a photovoltaic system with an output of 1.5 MWp was also installed on the roofs of the park. The site features efficient infrastructure and enables 24/7 use through electronic access control, providing an optimal basis for various companies and business models.
Christian Wagner brings extensive experience in real estate management. Among other roles, he worked for a leading Austrian property developer in Eastern Europe, where he was responsible for residential and office projects with a total volume exceeding EUR 500 million. As Managing Director of one of Austria's top 5 property developers, he was responsible for more than 25 projects with a total volume of over EUR 900 million and managed more than 50 employees.
Outlook and previous activities
For several years, Christian Wagner has been self-employed with Wagner & Partner Real Estate GmbH, a company that offers services in project development, project management, business consulting, and interim management across various segments of the real estate industry in Austria and Eastern Europe. Mr Wagner will continue his existing mandates and activities through his company, with the management of Zukunftspark+ complementing his entrepreneurial portfolio.
Christian Wagner stated that Zukunftspark+ has developed into an attractive and versatile business location in recent years. He sees it as his goal to consistently continue this path, leverage existing potential, and further develop the site in the long term. He looks forward to the new challenge and to shaping the next development steps of Zukunftspark+ together with the owners and partners, as the site offers excellent conditions for companies from various sectors and he still sees significant potential to strengthen its position in the Tullnerfeld.
