The International Campus Group (IC) focuses on housing concepts that meet the preferences of young and mobile individuals, with comfort, location, and service being central decision criteria. A recent customer survey, conducted by Global Student Living (GSL) – the global reference network for student accommodation – among users of IC brands THE FIZZ and HAVENS LIVING, underpins this approach. A total of 1,815 people participated in this survey.
For residents of THE FIZZ buildings, the friendliness and accessibility of staff (83 percent) and the central location of the apartments (82 percent) were particularly highlighted as positive. Sleeping comfort was highly rated by 78.4 percent of respondents, and the quality of accommodation achieved an approval rating of 75.5 percent. Further significant factors for satisfaction included internet connectivity (73.6 percent), contribution to sustainability (71.7 percent), and management (71 percent).
HAVENS LIVING Exceeds Expectations
The HAVENS LIVING accommodation offering, which specifically targets expats and international professionals and is characterised by high-quality furnishings and comprehensive services, achieved even more convincing results in the survey. Here, the central location (85 percent) and the quality of the apartments (83 percent) were rated as outstanding. Also, 83 percent of participants highlighted sleeping comfort, design, and the competence and friendliness of the staff. These results confirm the suitability of the concept for the specific requirements of this target group.
According to GSL, sleeping comfort and apartment quality are among the primary criteria when choosing accommodation. HAVENS LIVING surpassed both international benchmarks for Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) and comparative values for German private student residences in these categories. This underscores the market positioning of the offering.
Confirmation of Strategic Direction
Christina Gentsch, Head of Sales & Marketing Germany at International Campus GmbH, commented on the results. She explained that the high approval ratings in the areas of sleeping comfort, location, building quality, and service demonstrate the increasing importance of high-quality accommodation and complementary services for a young and mobile clientele. The International Campus Group had anticipated these developments a decade ago and established its own quality standards. Surveys like this serve the company as an important instrument for continuously reviewing and further developing its services.
