Deutsche Investment has successfully completed the acquisition of three residential and commercial buildings in central Berlin districts. These acquisitions include properties in Charlottenburg, Schöneberg, and Friedrichshain, which specifically bolster the company's existing portfolio. The selected properties are characterised by their integration into established neighbourhood structures, high quality of life, and excellent public transport connections.
The acquired properties offer stable long-term letting prospects and possess additional development potential. These purchases underscore Deutsche Investment's consistent expansion of its Berlin residential portfolio and its focus on inner-city residential areas with sustainable demand. All properties were constructed around the turn of the century and exhibit the characteristic features of their architectural period.
Strategic investment in stable markets
Nina Alexandra Sobotta, Senior Transaction Manager at Deutsche Investment, emphasised that the company had secured three high-quality properties in established Berlin residential areas with this portfolio. These properties are distinguished by sustainable lettability, attractive micro-locations, and long-term value appreciation potential. Sobotta highlighted that despite a challenging market environment, it had been possible to acquire three properties with varying location qualities and development prospects for investors. The transactions confirmed the consistent focus on selective investments in value-retaining residential properties in German metropolitan regions.
Gilbert Merz, Head of Transaction Management at Deutsche Investment, added that Berlin remains a central investment focus for the company. The properties were compelling due to their location quality and existing substance. Merz saw good preconditions for managing and further developing the properties stably in the long term.
