ECE Projektmanagement GmbH & Co. KG has significantly expanded its international tenant portfolio. This strategy aims to solidify the company's position as a crucial partner for the expansion of global brand concepts in the German retail market. In the current financial year, three internationally established retail brands will open stores in ECE centres in Germany for the first time.
New tenants include the US brands Victoria's Secret and Bath & Bodyworks, as well as the Intrend format, which belongs to the Italian Max Mara Group. The respective lease agreements for these locations have already been signed, indicating a planned further expansion of these brands within the ECE portfolio. This development underscores the attractiveness of the German market for international retailers.
Strategic Partnership and Market Dynamics
Joanna Fisher, CEO of ECE, commented on this development, emphasising that the inclusion of new international brands strengthens the company's tenant portfolio and creates new attractions for ECE centres. This marks another step in expanding its position as a strategic partner for international expansion. The dynamic development of the retail market in Germany and Europe remains highly attractive for international brands, confirming the ongoing relevance of physical retail spaces.
The presence of Victoria's Secret in a German shopping centre marks a new milestone. The US brand's first location with ECE will open in Altmarkt-Galerie Dresden at the end of 2026. For the American fragrance and body care concept Bath & Bodyworks, the opening of a store in Rhein-Center Cologne is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026. The fashion concept Intrend will celebrate its German premiere, opening its first German store within a shopping centre at Olympia-Einkaufszentrum Munich at the end of 2026. These settlements demonstrate ECE's ability to attract prominent international players to its locations, thereby increasing the appeal of its properties.
