FASTR, formerly known as EGC Energie- und Gebäudetechnik-Control, has completed its membership with the Central Real Estate Committee (ZIA). The ZIA acts as the leading association for the real estate industry in Germany. This step signals an intensification of the company's presence in leading industry networks and underscores its objective to advance the decarbonisation of existing building stock together with real estate industry stakeholders.

Jens Goldmund, Head of Sales at FASTR, commented on the new membership. He highlighted that FASTR represents both consistency and reliability, whilst also pursuing the goal of accelerating the heat transition in existing properties. The ZIA membership is intended to bring practical expertise from real estate projects, contracting ventures, and cooperation with municipal utilities and municipalities more prominently into the association's work. The overarching aim is to contribute to the decarbonisation of Germany's building stock.

FASTR's services and strategic direction

As a nationally active energy service provider, FASTR supports housing companies, institutional investors, municipalities, and property owners along the entire value chain. The range of services includes the development, financing, implementation, and operation of sustainable energy infrastructures. This creates economically viable solutions for the heat transition in existing buildings. FASTR's approach is based on standardisable and scalable processes to implement individual refurbishment solutions more efficiently and economically.

Jens Goldmund further emphasised the need to develop economically viable and socially acceptable solutions, especially for decarbonisation in existing properties. He explained that the willingness to transform significantly increases if refurbishments remain affordable and technical implementation is perceived as reliable. This underlines the necessity of a pragmatic approach that considers both ecological goals and socio-economic factors.

Goals of ZIA membership

Through its affiliation with the ZIA, FASTR intends to intensify professional exchange and provide impetus for economically sensible decarbonisation. Furthermore, dialogue with housing companies, investors, and political decision-makers is to be expanded. This strategic alignment underscores FASTR's role as an actor that not only offers technical solutions but also actively seeks to shape the discourse within the real estate sector.

  • Intensifying professional exchange within the real estate industry.
  • Providing impetus for economic decarbonisation in existing properties.
  • Expanding dialogue with housing companies, investors, and political stakeholders.
